Everyone who has played Ocarina of Time remembers putting the game in the console and sitting back watching an older family member or friend play it or playing it themselves. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was just that, a legend. The first of its kind and not the last. When you start the game, you are tasked to give a name to the character you play as. Link is the name given by most players as the creator, Miyamoto, wanted the player to have a "link" to the character.
Anyway, you start the game with Link having a bad dream about a sorcerer who you later figure out is Ganondorf. After exploring around, finding a sword, and buying a shield, you go to your first dungeon, a tree. After you beat this dungeon, you are given the first of three spiritual stones then you are tasked to do two more dungeons in the form of a cavern, where you make new friends, and a giant whale where you meet your future wife.
After gathering the three stones you go to the temple of time, turn in the stones, open the door of time, pull the sword, and suddenly you hear an evil "HAHAHA" Link then wakes up but now he is an adult! He is told he was sealed away for seven years and now must gather 5 medallions and defeat Ganondorf for good. Your first is in the forest, and you must defeat a shadow version of Ganondorf. After defeating him you awaken your friend Saria as a sage and eventually wake up multiple sages from the fire, water, spirit, and shadow Temple.
Lastly you fight Ganondorf, it is a fight like no other, and it is going to be tough, but once you defeat Ganondorf, he turns into this giant pig monster, and you must fight him too. After all that, you go back in time to save the world.
So that is the Ocarina of time. Did that make you want to try it? I hope it did! Stay tuned for other posts about other Zelda games.
